JAMES PARKER

BACKGROUND
Macon Waves Head Coach, James Parker, graduated from California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education. He has been ASCA (American Swim Coaches Association) certified at Level 3 which puts him among the top 10% of Age Group swim coaches in the country.

Coach Parker began his career in 1974 with the Lompoc Marlins Swim Team, Lompoc, California, where two of his swimmers set National Age Group records. He moved to Warner Robins, Georgia, in 1993 and was Head Coach of the the Warner Robins Aquanauts from 1995 to February 2007. During that time five of his swimmers achieved National Top 16 rankings and he led the team to over 50 Team Championship Titles, over 80 individual GRPA/USS State Titles and 4 GRPA State Records. He founded Premier Aquatic Club in March 2007 and merged with the Macon Waves Swim Team in November 2008.

  • 1999 National Top 16 Ranking - Bridgette Gausche, girls 9-10 50 meter free
  • 2001 National Top 16 Ranking - Abigail Cunningham, girls 11-12 200 yard back
  • 2003 National Top 16 Ranking - Anne Culpepper, girls 11-12 1650 yard free
  • 2003 National Top 16 Ranking - Anne Culpepper, girls 11-12 400 yard IM
  • 4 High School All Americans in Swimming and Water Polo
  • 8 Southern California Junior Olympic Champions and over15 Top 8 Finalists
  • 10 Southern California Swimming Records
  • 1 Western Zone Champion and over 5 Western Zone Qualifiers
  • Over 10 of Parker's Swimmers progressed to compete at the collegiate level.
