
Eric Roberts joined the Macon
Waves at the age of 6 and
continued to swim for the Waves until he graduated from Mount de Sales
Academy.
While in high-school, he was given All-State recognitions every year.
His
senior year of high-school, he set a state record and school record. He
was
offered a swimming scholarship to swim for Darton College.
During his freshman year, he was named to the All-American team in
individual
events along with First-team All-American honors in a Relay. During his
sophomore year of college, he was named team Captain by his fellow
teammates
and led his team to a 4th place finish at
Nationals. In the absence
of his college coach, he assisted the interim head coach with writing
workouts.
While at Nationals his sophomore year, he assisted the Athletic
Director with
preparing the swimmers to get ready for the swim meet. He is currently
a senior
at Georgia
College & State
University
where he is majoring in Business Management.
As a coach, Eric started
assisting coaching while in High
school and continued to coach until he went away for college. During
his
college years, he returned each summer to coach the children. During
Fall 2009,
he rejoined the Waves as an assistant coach. In January 2010, he was
named the
Head Coach of the Macon Waves.
